It&#8217;s actually far past my bedtime but I need to get some of the thoughts that rattled around in my brain while watching out if I hope to get any sleep tonight. Since this is Mark&#8217;s Forum, most of those thoughts center around his character Joshua. </p> <p>Did I mention the spoilers? &#8217;Cause you should beware the spoilers. I&#8217;m serious. If you haven&#8217;t seen Ep 1:12 ("Red Sky"), hit the &#8220;back&#8221; button now.</p> <p>...</p> <p>Okay. I warned you.</p> <p>...</p> <p>I have to say, I spent most of the episode worried about Joshua. </p> <p>Seriously. </p> <p>I just knew our favorite Fifth Columnist was going to do something heroic and get himself killed. </p> <p>Then, he went and did something heroic and got himself killed &#8212; but not before a very sweet and tender and wonderful moment with Lisa that reaffirmed my earlier misgivings about his eventual demise. </p> <p>I then spent the next 20 minutes in denial and hoping that either a) Erica shot him in the heart because she knew a V could withstand it but he&#8217;d be in bad enough shape she could maybe somehow magically smuggle him off the ship and we were going to see him recuperating in the Earth Fifth Column HQ (E5CHQ?) or hidden away at Erica&#8217;s house or b) new &#8220;V&#8221; was going to borrow a plotline from &#8217;80s &#8220;V&#8221; and Joshua&#8217;s twin brother Bob was going to show up next season to be an eventual ally of the Fifth Column (I wasn&#8217;t particularly picky &#8212; I just wanted to make sure Mark would be back next season). My denial was rewarded with the resuscitation of our beloved medic by other medics and a cryptic &#8220;welcome back&#8221; from Marcus...a rather friendly sounding and heartfelt greeting from Anna&#8217;s right hand compared to the sinister sarcasm you&#8217;d expect for someone he considered a traitor. Very interesting...has Marcus just gotten soft in his old age, is he Fifth Column or does he just play the nice guy really well?
