I think it’s an interesting idea to write songs in the a capella form, because human voice is such a flexible and variant musical instrument. I am quite curious how you will present it in your way
I love a capella music, this is one of my favourite examples of modern a capella http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XVInNSDBq0 it is so much fun… the human voice is the best and most beautiful instrument (the song don’t worry be happy, for example, has no instruments but Bobby McFerrin’s voice)

That’s where I go. A capella really needs the good acoustics, I think.
first, i have to compliment you on your album. i purchased it on itunes a couple of weeks ago and have a couple of the songs on heavy rotation on my ipod. siddhartha was a hit on my camping trip to the bruce peninsula last weekend and is currently on the top of my own personal chart. You do have stiff competition from The Scissor Sisters next week. And i’m diggin’ I just wanna love someone.
i collect a lot of dance music, pretty much anything I can get my hands on. i’m currently at 2500 cd’s (and yes i still collect them).
You can find versions of acapella songs on singles, maxi-singles, or special deluxe remix albums. I wish my burner was working right now I’d send you a cd of acapella versions of some pretty famous dance songs of the last couple of decades. the majority of acapella songs are released for the purpose of dj’s in clubs to mix with their own beats.
of course a lot of them sound ridiculous but that’s the fun of acapella. you get to appreciate what a producer can do for a song. hope this helps in your search mark.
Check out the a capella group Straight No Chaser. They are great, check their story out on You Tube. so far they have released two Christmas albums, but I rally hope they branch out more.

certain songs sounds good with vocal harmonizing…i think some songs you do would sound great…with the right vocal arrangements…i heard celtic womans singer meav ni mchaolchatha sing danny boy acapella…sounded great…go for it…i generally see acapella on dvd…of course live in concert for celtic woman…

My school choir used to sing some songs a cappella. I loved it. Somebody here mentioned “straight no chaser”. Yep, they are such a fine example. Lovely voices.
